Here you can define a new product option category to categorize product options that you offer together with products you sell in your on-line store. When you have entered the values, click the confirmation button to save the new category.
Display name |
The name of the option category displayed to the users of your website. |
Code name |
The name of the option category used by developers in the code. Unless there is a reason to set a particular value, you can leave the default (automatic) option, and the system will generate an appropriate code name. |
Type |
Sets the option category type. You can choose to create either a Category with selectable options or a Category with one text option only by selecting the respective radio buttons. |
Please note that categories with one text option only may be used to give your customers the choice of e.g. having some writing put on a T-shirt or an inscription added on the cover of a cell phone. However, from the point of view of the user, the option is defined for and assigned to a selected product as any other product option.
